A year and a half ago, I could have eviscerated him with my thoughts. Now I can barely hurt his feelings. Things used to be so much simpler.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

I'm thankful I'm not living in a dangerous situation or on the street.

I'm thankful that depression forced me to get over my fears/procrastination and put together my first album. The album and trying to promote it has been the only thing keeping me together this year.

I'm thankful that my parents have allowed me (and that my dad helped me to make) some raised beds in which to garden. Gardening is a big coping technique for me.

I'm thankful I still have enough wiggle room in my budget to occasionally take a trip to the Bay Area. I enjoy and miss it so much.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

GUYS!!!

I am totally skipping. I just got off an out-of-the-blue, hour long phone interview with the top charter school in the city. Their jr/sr, dual-credit English teacher had to leave suddenly and sadly, and I had forwarded them my resume earlier in the year for subbing.

They called me about stepping into this position, either as a FT sub, or as a full-on teacher hire. The interview (with the superintendent! who has hire power)went VERY well, I am going in Saturday for a final interview and tour, and may start on Monday, if things go well. She is talking to a few other people, but from the approving noises she made, and the way she talked, it sounds very, very promising.

This is a great, new school, state of the art, 100% grad and college acceptance rate, and the compensation for even FT sub is $2000 less than what I made after 3 years and an MA at my last school. The pay for FT full teacher would be $3000 more than that. And they offer bonuses. And it's 7 minutes from my house.

I'm so excited, I'm shaking. Can I have some SHITTONS of -ma, Saturday, please?!

ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG!!!!
