Woot woot Lisah!

Failin Palin, indeed.

In Panera last night, one server was showing another server how to do the Too Legit to Quit hand movements. Neither child was alive when Hammer came up with that. How, and why, is it back?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

lisah is getting murried on my 40th b-day, iirc. IT IS THE BEST DAY.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm really very thankful about getting married next week to a really very awesome person.

Yay!

I'm grateful for the many lovely people in my life. I'm also grateful that I'll be seeing one of them a lot more in the nearish future. My supercool former manager just accepted a job offer at my current organization. He's smart, funny, and tremendously competent. Not getting to work with him any more was one of my regrets when I left my previous job.

WE CAN HAVE LAYERS!

I haven't peed by myself in...forever.

I read this as: I haven't peed myself in years - and I was wondering why that was a problem.

I showered and was all ready to go shopping when neighbor boy came to play.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Heh, me too.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

2 Legit 2 Quit hand motions ROCK. I think they should persist through the ages, and now I realise I don't even have it on my iPod. I sense I will be breaking my no new music moratorium pretty soonish. But it's not really new...

I can't find the benefit descriptions for my 2011 enrollment! Was it seriously only covered on the con calls? That's ridic! I couldn't make any of the scheduled times, and I can't make the last one before the deadline either. Sheeit.

I'm grateful for family - whether they're blood, marriage, or chosen. All y'all count, btw. And for all the smart, passionate, wacky people who come through my life, letting their freak flags fly, whatever their freak of choice may be. And for my community. Communities. My awesome grungy little city. And for the internet. And for beer.

Oh yeah, this too. I can't believe that's not what I thought of first when I was having a recent conversation about song hand motions. (I went with I Would Die 4 U, of course.)

I'm non-canonical on this front. I can never remember the real version. I think it's my "die" that's wrong...
