If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Whipped cream? Otherewise I think you're good.

Man, this has been a crazy ass week (and will continue to be). Went out with my friend C tonight. Last night, her dog was going all nutso because there was some commotion outside. So despite the monsoon she took him out.

Quote from the upstairs neighbor: "when we took the dog out, no dead guy. When we got back: dead guy."

Yeah. Body half under a car. Maybe hit his head and drowned? Maybe got hit by someone and knocked under the car? Either way: dead guy.

Ooh, I do have wine (not bought specially for TDay, but just around) but need to put it in the fridge. And whipped cream I also have--it goes in the pie (along with sour cream, and a layer of apricot jam under the filling, with a gingersnap pecan crust).

I need to pack. I'm taking a train to Michigan tomorrow afternoon, and I know Union Station will be ridonk.

I'm resigned to the fact that my family won't agree to a vegetable dish other than mashed potatoes and corn, so I've placed a huge fruit & veg grocery order for when I return.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I have parsley! It's actually the biggest bunch.

Then you've got yourself a Simon & Garfunkel tune there.

And I've got an earworm.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Nora,

Friday night we went to a concert by Consortium of Genius, which was part of the fringe festival. Saturday we took the streetcar to the Garden District and wandered around there a bit.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Oh Brenda -- that's a little too much family drama. And what exactly did the boyfriend do (or is alleged to have done) to end up IN JAIL? I must have missed a memo or two.
