Coincidentally, my local news is doing a story on turkey fryer fires tonight. From the preview footage, some people may be attempting to fry them in napalm.
Yeah, but they taste like...victory.

I'm pretty sure that YouTube has Consumer Reports footage demonstrating just how easy it is to set one of those on fire or even better, tip them over.
If the oil gets hot enough, it will burst into flames just by taking off the lid! Fun for the whole family....
Every year, people burn down houses, set porches on fire, etc.
Fun for the whole family....
Well, it's not like you need eyebrows for Christmas.
My working theory for this Thanksgiving is that if I have enough butter and I have enough fresh herbs I can make everything taste good.
I've got chives! I've got lots of sage. I've got rosemary and thyme. I could practically sprinkle Simon and Garfunkel on my turkey.
I bought Christmas Crackers, and some really interesting (and pricy) specialty beers for T-day. It's weird not actually planning or making food.
I think I mentioned I'm going to my sister's boyfriend's parents' house on Thursday. I don't think I mentioned that that said boyfriend won't be there, on account of being IN JAIL. Or that there is lots of family drama going on related to various weddings that did and did not happen this year. Or that - as I found out today - we will be the only not family members there. Oy.

At this point I will lose all respect if you don't get some parsley. It's just parsley. The corner mart should have that in San Francisco.
Brenda, I think you'll definitely have the most interesting Thanksgiving dinner story to tell on Friday.
I'm sure that mine will be uneventful, unless my mother and I have a fight. And then it won't be interesting, you all will have heard the drama before :)

I have parsley! It's actually the biggest bunch.
I need it for the Pommes Pommes Savoyard.
Whoah, Brenda. Now that's interesting!!
I had to go to Trader Joe's tonight to buy dinner food. Because I have all the Thanksgiving food, and no other food. Oops. I'm not used to being home this long!
I even went to the schmancy co-op for the first time, since TJ's didn't have turkeys the other day. ...so when I went tonight, TJ's had put out the turkeys. Sigh. Though they all looked huge, more than I would've wanted.
Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, brusssels sprouts, cranberries (from a can) and pie. I think that's it. A friend texted today and I told him to bring rolls. Am I missing something?
