"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

"How is that if Episode I opened in theaters in 1999?"

Good fuckin' point. I can't tell you how many confusing conversations I've had with Emmett who refers to the movies by their chronological order while I think of them in release order.

So when we say "The first Star Wars movie" we're never talking about the same thing.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Owen asked me when Star Wars: A New Hope appeared in theaters. I told him 1977. He looked at me and asked, "How is that if Episode I opened in theaters in 1999?"

Smart kid!

Heh, I just discovered I am a direct descendant of Myles Standish, just in time for Thanksgiving! mr. flea asked if this involves riches. Apparently not.

Art Crawl!!!

Might it not involve possible college scholarships for the kids? (I mean, he came over on the Mayflower, right?)

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Mom is cooking for Thanksgiving, I'm bringing dessert - chocolate marscapone cake with chocolate buttercream icing and apple pie. I was considering adding caramel to the pie, but the store only had pints of heavy cream and I didn't want to buy it just for two tablespoons.

AWESOME! Not about the lack of riches, but it's still cool!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Someone want to explain to him George Lucas' egocentric outlook on the universe and how he cannot stop messing with a good thing?

I saw this on Twitter but the only answers I could give, I don't think I wanted Owen to read. There'd have been swears involved.

Always Anti-fascist!

My favorite weasel expression is "Some people say," As in "Some people say the great love of Sarah Palin's life is the goat she blew in high school." Then, if I get called on it, what? I'm not people? Voila...credibility, ur doin it wrong.
