I think marshmallow fluff on top of sweet potatoes sounds intriguing, but why would it be better than actual marshmallows?
It's a question of vegetarianness.

Jess - how do I prepare the fruit?
Any tips on frozen fruit pies?
It helps to at least partially thaw them in a colander, because sometimes there's extra juice and it makes the filling looser. Once you cook them, they're indistinguishable from fresh, except that you are not suffering from removing all those damn seeds.
I bought stuff for enchiladas and squash soup with the idea that I'd make the soup tonight. That didn't happen due to no-food-or-coffee-until-after-5 induced headache. I did get brownies made to take to work tomorrow though. I may be making the enchiladas and the soup on Thursday, in order to have meals to take to work next week. I never do anything resembling a traditional meal when I'm not visiting family.
I need suggestions on books for 16 and 13 year-old boys. I picked up a Complete Hitchhiker's Guide, but I'm quite certain that both boys have access to their parents' copies. I've previously given the 16 yr old all of the Star Wars books I had and the 13 yr old was thrilled to get Ender's Game for his b'day.
Time-Warner has Terriers eps on-demand for free in my city.
You go to Prime Time On Demand channel, then scroll to FX. I'm not sure how many, or which eps, but they DO have them.
Terriers is on Hulu, too. Episodes go up 8 days after airing.

Just wanted to touch base back on a conversation from a couple of weeks ago when CJ got pencil stabbed by J.
The Dean of Discipline at the school talked with both boys and if there was any punishment for J, I haven't heard about it. Actually, due to confidentiality rules, I wouldn't. But I should have gotten a call saying "We are working on this and your son's safety is a priority". I'm not making that up just cause that is what I would have heard but teachers have told me I should have gotten some kind of notification.
As for the dojo, they are taking it seriously. J is a red belt (assistant instructor) and CJ is trying to earn his red belt. Both belts are pulled until this is resolved. The head sensei wants both boys to take it seriously that going to the principals office over their interactions does not represent the dojo well. I would be concerned about CJ being painted with the same brush, but right now J is accusing him of some bad behavior.
Tomorrow, CJ, J, J's dad, and I are sitting down together to make sure no one is lying or exaggerating. At least come to some agreement between the two of them over past behavior and changes for future behavior. And then we are hoping to send the boys over to the dojo so they can resolve things there.
