It's all about choices, Faith. The ones we make, and the ones we don't. Oh, and the consequences. Those are always fun.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

The last time I worked on Christmas Eve was a few years ago at B&N. It got really slow after 3:00, and we were glad to leave after closing at 5:00. The regular staff were all leaving after finishing cleaning the store at 5:45 (the manager was helping the cafe manager with some last-minute stuff), and as we were opening the door to leave, a customer was trying to come in. We had to stop and tell him that we had been closed for 45 minutes already, and if he was shopping for the next day, he'd have to go elsewhere.

Compassionately intolerant

I'm planning on doing the last of my grocery shopping tomorrow morning...thank you zipcar...and am as grateful as ever to NOT be traveling over the holiday.

I love the "Turkey Bowl", touch football game in the local park, watching the city leaf pickup (I'm assuming it's a giant overtime scam, but find it amusing anyway), and the terrific stillness of the neighborhood after abut 3pm when the entire place nearly snores in unison.

Strange thing from this weekend. In some sort of sibling conflict, Leif spread sugar all over Em's room. I'm not sure what the reason was, but if he had taken the opportunity to say he was sugar-coating the situation I think he'd been exempt from any punishment.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Gud, I think your kids presage things that are going to happen with mine.

I think that getting Leif and Liv together would be like crossing the streams.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Can we pit them against Owen and Mal?

Buffistito showdown?

I'm pretty sure that's an accurate description of what would happen.

Also this weekend the big sibling fight was that Em wouldn't help Leif with a Wizard 101 quest. First he took her favorite stuffed animal hostage. Then he threatened to log onto her account and do something to get her account banned. I took it as a learning moment to tell Em to never, ever, give Leif any passwords.

In other words, look forward to cyber-warfare at some point.
