The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

So far today I have been asked to find examples of specific language within documents filed by Chinese companies with the Hong Kong Companies Registry and oh by the way the examples need to be in English and free, and to get an English version of a Spanish medical article that was really an Italian medical article that was never published in English.

I'm going to lunch now.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm sorry, Perkins, that made me laugh.

I'm starting to think about Christmas presents, and my problem is that I always think half of my ideas are too obvious. Like, I would get the Jay-Z book for my cousin, but won't someone else do that, too?

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Because work was a fail, I watched 3 CMs, a CSI, and a Bones. Then I emptied the dishwasher, started refilling it and washed a sinkful of dishes. Also just put in a load of laundry and moved a load to the dryer. More than enough for the day, I think. I am going to try to get a package in the mail before picking up mac, but I am unsure if that will really happen.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I had to get into work where it is crazybusynuts and did not get to walk the pups this morning. They are out in our big fenced backyard and have comfy beds on a covered porch and fresh water, so they aren't suffering, but I feel bad. I am leaving a little early to go home and take them on an extra-long walk.

Because books.

msbelle did her stuff and all my stuff, too.

That's what gift receipts are for!

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I think I am getting a cold right before ThDay, or else that sinus infections I had never quite went away. Maybe both. anyway, I am not best pleased. I have THINGS TO DO, people! Most of which involve cleaning products and dust and fur, which just exacerbate my nose and cough.

On the plus side, I feel not exhausted, despite getting only 4 1/2 hours of sleep. I woke up coughing, and could have slept more, but got up to blow my nose 8000x and decided to had to much to do to just go back to bed.

Hec, the only slightly non trad things we make is a deliciously trashy thing we call cherry junk. It's a combo of cherry pie filling, crushed pineapple and whipped cream. I can get the proportions from my mom, if you want. It's the easiest thing in the world to make, and complement ham and turkey well, esp. for those of us who don't like the cranberry relish.

I am liking The Walking Dead; there are some really funny parts, and though I haven't read the comics, I understand there's quite a bit of interesting character development. I'm not spoiling myself (yet) with the comics, but I am liking watching the show. It's early days, yet, too, so I'm thinking now that they've established some of the character's and their motivations, it will start to pick up.

True! And then, there's always something that I'm sure someone will get me, but they don't. So what the heck!

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Erin, I remember one Thanksgiving when I was fine before going to my aunt's house for dinner, where I played with my cousin's kids. Turns out one of them still wasn't quite over the stomach flu, and both Mom and I came down with it the next day--me while I was working at the bookstore and thankfully close enough to the bathroom. We were so short-staffed that holiday season (due to the fact that the store was going to be closing at the end of January) that they had given me a key and made me a temporary shift supervisor even though I was just a part-timer. The other managers/supervisors were already scheduled, so I had to work that weekend even though I was running to the bathroom every 20 minutes.

Worst Thanksgiving weekend ever!

Am I a crazy person for planning to go to Target and the grocery store (probably Whole Foods) on Wednesday afternoon? We're getting out of work early, so I figure I'll have time, but will the people make me crazy? Hmmmm.

Kathy, that sounds like so much not-fun. I don't have to travel, and so far, I don't feel REALLY bad, just a little run-down and very snotty and coughy. So I will be good to myself, and hopefully it will be ok.
