Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Oh, hey! New Yorkers! I was hoping to get our friend who is officiating our ceremony (and is the reason we met) a gift card to a restaurant in NY to thank her. They live in S. Orange, NJ so night out in NY is a usual thing. She is a vegetarian.

Blossom or Candle 79. There's also Peacefood Cafe, which is supposed to be good, but I haven't tried it yet so I can't really recommend it.

Because books.

As long as she's not vegan, there's always Artisanal, lisah. It's not vegetarian, but it's CHEESE heaven.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have some strange sort of compulsion that makes me late for work. I mean, I was ready ten minutes early, but when it was time to leave, suddenly I needed a necklace, and I had to wear this one pendant (I did) that meant I needed to grab a chain from another necklace and...skating in right on the borderline of on time to work.

BUT!!! Where is my 8am meeting? I'm the only person on the conference call line. I coulda stopped and bought a bagel, dammit.

Punishingly Intricate

Awesome! She is not vegan. I'll take a look at all the menus and what not. YUM!

(Though, for the record, it's a great pendant--it's from Kat, a dragonfly, and complements my sweater perfectly)

(Still, now I really wanna bagel)

Because books.

Well, now *I* want a bagel, too. Damn it.

I want to go back to Artisanal so much. FONDUE! Nom.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Lisa, if you want non-vegetarian restaurant recs, I can ask my veggie friend?

(I'm gonna leave and get me a bagel, dammit. Living on the edge)

There is/was this great place in Montreal called Fondumental. I had the wild meat fondue there once, and if you sit outside, you're seated in their herb garden, and you can just pick the herbs and add them to your fondue. It's amazing and blissful.
