Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I watched Nascar and then got mom from the airport. I also braved WinCo hell and bought firelogs. We're set (we have firelogs, wine and coffee) if it snows tonight.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I also emptied the dishwasher and partially filled it again.

I also remembered to buy my older niece's b-day present when I was at Target this morning, so maybe I won't have to do a Saturday delivery fedex the way I did for my younger niece's present.

That is assuming I manage to do a useful thing some time next week, but I have several days for that.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I, um....cooked dinner. And made 2 ornaments. Goal is to make 11more before the end of the month. Hope KCD's gf doesn't mind me working on them before t-day dinner.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I bought dog food and cat food, so I am slightly less likely to be eaten in my sleep.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I'm painting my nails. Doing my bit to beautify the world, yes. That's useful.

yay!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I've mostly been tending to sore Emmett today.

Getting him into a hot bath, and fed and out for a walk. His body is a little bit wrecked like somebody who's run a marathon.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Twice today Darby strolled her ass on out of the dogpark. This follows a scary moment last week when she did it when it was so dark that I didn't notice at first. Gotta nip this pattern in the bud, stat.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You should have gotten Emmett into an ice bath. Those really help after that sort of sustained punishment.

Compassionately intolerant

I was so excited to take Bartleby to see his long lost best friend, Bob. He lurves Bob like no other dog he has ever known.

We went to Rock Creek Park and they ran like maniacs...way more energetic than their years should allow. Then, Bman chose to run right up onto the freeway that runs through the park. He didn't recall on the first shout and I didn't even notice myself sprinting toward him. By the time he pelted back to me, totally unscathed, my pneumonia wracked lungs had completely turned on me. The fear burned out quickly, but I felt pretty weak for longer than I liked.

Feh. When am I going to be well?

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am going to be doing bedbug prevention over the next week with the friends. Poor things. They are immigrants and there is a language barrier and it's a house of 4 adults and 3 kids. The mother is expected to do all the cleaning and she has had health problems. I wonder if I could make money as a bedbug consultant, going in and telling people what to do in their homes.
