What are people doing this weekend?
Didn't get to any decluttering activities today so hopefully some of that. Also hopefully getting books and other things up on Craig's List or Amazon or Ebay so that I can sell stuff off while people are shopping for holiday gifts.
Rain is also predicted here.

Tomorrow I start my drive down the coast, with the eventual destination of chez PixDesign for Turkey Day.
This weekend I'll be at Asilomar, in a historic lodge designed by Julia Morgan (the architect of Hearst Castle), and then down in San Luis Obispo at the crazy Madonna Inn, where every room has a different theme. I'm staying in this relatively sane nautical-themed room, but this pink option was my second choice.
I assume part of the thinking behind the whole opt-out thing is not just to be a pain for TSA, but to slow things down so that more people will be upset and potentially complain about this, rather than blindly going along with the system.
Or perhaps not so much slow things down as provide an example on hand that they can object to the system and make themselves heard in a peaceful manner.

However, if they slow things down, they have done so in a highly inconsiderate manner. Flying is stressful and the screening process is bad enough. Your objections to it shouldn't lengthen it for other people. That's just fuckery, sacrificing their experience for your message.

My onerous task for the day was calling to try to get a postponement for a court date for this ticket I got last week; Dan has the car, and we won't get paid till the 30th. The lady said the judge would just send me a letter with a 2nd appearance on Jan. 4, and I would have to pay a $10 fine. No warrant or anything.
Onerous task outcome: Positive.
I had an interview today, too. Cross your fingers for me.

Everydamnthing. At least I got the upstairs vacuumed and mopped tonight. And Lokes walked. Have to do a major declutter and clean down here. And laundry.

Oh and leaves. I already shovelled a bunch that were in the street into a pile. Going to be doing several houses worth, since there's a vacant, a ne'er do well and an out of town. And I have to pay my next door neighbor back for last weekend. But it won't be just me. A couple other neighbors will be pitching in.
