Got up early in order to go to an early showing of HP7. Rode my bike up to Old Town Pasadena. Nearly didn't make it in time even though I started early because I forgot my bike helmet and had to bike back for it.
HP7 pt1 was good. The best one yet except for Azkaban, in my opinion.
Then I looked around Paseo Colorado because I'm still trying to familiarize myself with all the stuff that has changed since I moved away. Went to Gelson's to see what that was about. Talked with a produce guy for a while, who was impressed that I kinda knew my fruit. Picked up some stuff then took a busier route back so that I could see more of town.
Now it's Mexican hot chocolate with spiced rum. Mmmm.

This week researchers announced they'd used a microscopic "carbon cage" to hold a single water molecule. How did they do it?
Nature blog The Great Beyond sums up:
Many researchers have used the carbon spheres called fullerenes to surround molecules. An international team has now taken the crucial next step and designed a ‘stopper' that can plug an open fullerene but can also be removed to allow a molecule of water in and out. In the future such 'molecular vials' could be used to transport radioactive atoms or small molecules for medical purposes such as imaging, they suggest.

Oh, I forgot! The fact that rain was predicted made me take out my hand-sewn racing jacket and finally stay stitch the wrist hems, which have been unfinished for nearly 10 years now.
