Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Mmm. Underwear-touching-strangers.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

This, right here, is the difference between real security and security theatre:

"First, it's fast — there's almost no line. That's because they're not looking for liquids, they're not looking at your shoes. They're not looking for everything they look for in North America. They just look at you," said Sela. "Even today with the heightened security in North America, they will check your items to death. But they will never look at you, at how you behave. They will never look into your eyes ... and that's how you figure out the bad guys from the good guys."

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I wonder how often that Israeli procedure ends up stopping people on the autism spectrum or with other disabilities that make them behave "oddly."

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Israel also has only two international airports.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

90% of TSA procedures are bullshit. Policies that make sense: intensive scanning of luggage, metal detectors, checking for explosives , banning weapons from carry on (tho currently taken beyond reason), security doors for pilot area, policy of no longer giving into hijackers. The rest, including policies on liquids and shoe removals are bullshit.

I think some sort of protest does make sense. The "opt out" of scanning and substitute a body search is an option the TSA offers. If a lot of people accepting that in protest of stupid policies causes you inconvenience complain to the TSA. They have the option of waving "opt-out" people through without the body search, or conducting the body search quickly rather using it to administer punishment.

And no the new body search is not the worst of the policies. But apparently it is a policy whose stupidity is obvious to people who accepted the rest. If we can use this latest policy to get a pushback we were not able to before, I'm for that.

I think the pirate party protest someone linked to a few days ago is a more effective protest and does not incovenience the people in line ahead of you. (They stripped to their underwear before entering the security line, and wrote on their bodies "Be a good citizen. Drop your pants." ) Here is a new link, a well-edited youtube: [link]

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Fuck. That was an intense therapy session. Worst ever, and I've been at this a long time.
