Now, I can hold a note for a long time...actually I can hold a note forever. But eventually that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after, and the one after that. That's what makes it music.

I love our TG traditions too. I have just cleaned a corner in our bedroom so that we can move Noah in with us so Sara need not share with a twin.

My face is hideously broken out, especially with a cluster of 5 small bumps on my forehead. I fear I might be growing a horn.

Eh, your couch is comfy! Throw me anywhere. Where does Gracie sleep?

Cash, we are proto-unicorns!!

Actually my bump(s) are so bad that Grace's nurse P looked at me yesterday and said, "What happened to your head?"

Shut up, dude.

Sara, we have a new couch. It's small for me and would be way too short for you.

Grace sleeps in the walkthrough from living room to kitchen.

I have been looking for examples of irony to use with my students because they are not all getting it.

Today, Grace's teacher sent home some of Grace's work including a Thanksgiving book Grace "made" (with handy signs!) and a picture. The picture [link] is a perfect example of irony given Grace takes NO FOOD at all by mouth.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

"In the Sweet By & By." Has that been suggested? There are some lovely hymns out there.

We are having a good but emotionally fraught preconvention. But everyone I expect to be here is here, so that's nice. Tomorrow more preconvention before we have to be thrown to the dogs. Err, I mean, promote our work.

I should be asleep.

well, they think that it's a black fly in their chardonnay or 10,000 spoons when all you need is a knife.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Huh. the HTML page didn't pop up in a new window and it ate my post.

Anyway. I had a day. Getting some stuff cleaned up for Thanksgiving. Made some more zucchini bread -- have to buy new sugar soon, and I just bought a little bag a month ago! Usually it takes me YEARS to go through a bag of sugar.

I had a melt-downy day yesterday; no emergencies, but....uh. It's here if you want to read the whole damn thing, because I ain't typing it again.

But today was better, so...

And now, I try to get to bed. Last 2 or 3 night have been hard to get to sleep because of stress monsters.
