I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

The lawnmower has now switched to leaf blower.

Toying with the idea of taking the Metro to Amoeba since I'm up so early today.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Mandatory charge for plastic bags in unincorporated LA county.

Man, today is a high pain day. This is not going well.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

(not a bad advertising slogan for a dry cleaner: "We don't ask, we just get the spots out.")

Takes me to an American Psycho place.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Watching Sesame Street this morning while I got Matilda dressed I discovered that Outkast had repurposed one of their songs.

So I dedicate Get Up to smonster and Teppy.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

This might be the cutest picture ever: James Wilkie Broderick gives Emma Watson a note. [link]

Ryan Reynolds sexiest man alive. I'm willing to go with that for a year.

I have no clear idea how to fake it through today. I'm having a hard time seeing straight.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

You can do it!

Wait, would cheerleading help you, or just annoy? Anyway, good luck.

Annoy the fuck out of me, for the record.

I'm going to my car to cry and sleep and just not be around people. Because I literally can't see. There's shit in my field of vision. I couldn't go home if I felt like taking that option.

Sorry....

You know, I almost never offer assurances along the lines of "Don't worry, everything will be fine" for those cases where I just don't know that. Maybe some people appreciate such assurances, but... maybe I don't do that because it annoys me when others do it to me. I think I'll stick to not offering such reassurances....

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Mandatory charge for plastic bags in unincorporated LA county.

We've had that in DC since January. It's only .05 here though. It's raised a crapload of money. And also, provided unintentional humour as you see people juggling piles of stuff because they don't want to pay for a bag.
