Jeez, don't get all Movie of the Week. I was just too cheap to buy you a real present.

Not only are frequent travelers worried about radiation, there's the whole "if youturn it down we grope you so much you'll regret it" plan, and the worry that it's more, say, hot 17 year olds who are having to do the nudie-scope, which is harassing, and there is no trust that they don't then save those pictures. Or use them to make fun f passengers, or whatever.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

And, really, not all TSA workers are awesome. Many of them are just doing their jobs.

But I have had people I have had to complain about which sucks. I am happy to let the good or just competent people do their jobs.

I am not happy to have them take my belongings well away from me on the other side of a scanner and riffle through them while I am clearly telling them that *I* will take out anything electronic to be scanned.

It's just a mess.

I will calmly follow the rules. I will not have my things broken or stolen. And I really wish they'd try to make it as easy as possible too.

And, no, I don't want more cumulative radiation that isn't necessary. I think cancer rates are showing that, yes, the shit we do to our environment and bodies can take a terrible toll. I'd rather do less than more.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Hivemind question: Does anyone own a high class rain gauge, or have enough experience with them that they would be able to make recommendations?

Perkins, I did a double-take when I saw the First Class Mail (FCM) stamp on a package today. I blame you.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yay!! Just like that.

Last year, my family decide to do a re-gifting Christmas, but I couldn't really participate, because I had gotten rid of most of the things I had that were decent, but I didn't use, in preparation for moving. So I'm excited to still have some stuff that other people would like and/or want.

Did I mention I spilled my tea all over the floor this morning? I think there's a theme to today. At least I cleaned the leaves out of the gutter so that I won't get the porch roof leaking when it starts raining tonight. I hope.
