I will HAPPILY borrow them. For real. A week would be just right. I miss little ones like mad.

Yep.

But I only want ones I give back after a few hours at this point.

This is why aunthood is such an awesome gig, though many of my bio-and-honorary neiphews are too far away. And the local ones, well, we're all so busy. I love the warm lump stage. I love the toddler stage. I'm even warming up to the teenage stage, as long as it is a kid I know, not the traveling packs. (This is kind of...epic. I didn't like my peers when I was a teen, preferring either much older or younger company, and never really warmed up to that age.)

Lemon juice? Straight?

I am staring, but I'm not sure if it's in awe or in horror.

I used to drink fresh-squeezed lime juice with no sugar.

I suppose it's destiny that I'd like lemon-y stuff since my family gets its name from them. But while lemonade is great, I don't like the stuff in water at all.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I checked the evidence, and I do have the same nose I had when I was 4. It has changed in size, but not at all in shape. This is what I'm saying.

Good god, obsession, please wear off already.

Hmm. I probably shouldn't be drinking 70% juice grapefruit soda if I'm taking meds, right? It's just so fucking tasty. Well, I'll stop when I run out.

I'm no one's aunt, but I am part of an esteemed family tradition of older cousins, where we move in and do a blend of role model/bad influence/sibling/parent thing for someone else's family. I've been that for three separate families, 7 cousins in total. Escorted shenanigans, if you will. And concomitantly, we had older cousins live in our house, watch over us, and give us porn, at least three.

No cabana boys appeared with food, so I dragged myself into the kitchen and made larb.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

After having some cured meat and cheese at a going-away party this afternoon, I just had a banana for dinner. Eh.

Technically I guess I had Ben & Jerry's Cake Batter ice cream for dinner. But it was really dessert after a very late lunch. Did my laundry, and now I can sleep for six hours. Yay.

I like my nose. I think it changed since I was little: [link] [link]

I need to note, the quilt on the floor in the first toddler picture of me? My grandmother (in the HS pic) made it for me when I was born. It's on the cabinet enclosure in front of the windows in my bedroom.

Going through the pix in flickr to find those, I also found pictures of the leather angels my Aunt Carol made. It was a moment of pause. She's dead. I saw her one last time, and it was perfect. And this year, I'll put up my tree from Taylor and family and hang my aunt's leather angels on that tree and cry a little. And be grateful.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

HA! But Jesse, the CD packaging is cotton candy scented! Irresistible!

WHAT? That is both amusing and kinda ick.

I find Katy Perry baffling. She tries so hard to be zany and kittenish and whimsical, and it's grating. Mostly because I kind of doubt that is her own personality and aesthetic.

30 year gap of nose. Not much happened. At least I got taller and grew boobs, otherwise...how boring.
