Ann, that's a ferret.

One of our vets called us a little while ago. Seems that one of the vets that works in the affiliated emergency hospital is at a kill shelter out in the boonies today. Where he met an 18-week-old seal point Siamese.

You can probably see already where this is going.

The vet's office called us because of our love of Siamese cats. (I'm not sure why they think we're particularly partial to Siamese, but anyway.) I'm not sure I want to adopt another cat this soon after losing three in less than a year and a half, but Hubs is insistent. And Hubs's enthusiasm is greater than my lack of enthusiasm, so....

I think we're going to adopt another cat.

Art Crawl!!!

Well, the most normal-sounding combination was already out, as his dad uses Timothy Carlton as his stage name.

Yeah, but he could have used Ben Carlton or Ben T. Carlton.

he could have used Ben Carlton or Ben T. Carlton.

And ruined our fun?

I think we're going to adopt another cat.

Awww. Good on you.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

TCM is doing a bunch of early-30s movies today, all starring Edna Mae Oliver, which I'm assuming was her real name.

(Just say the word, Fred Pete, and I'll ship Spare Cat down to you. I'll even put holes in the box, I swear!)

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

I've only ever seen her as a caricature in Warner Bros cartoons. Would be interesting to see the real article.

KITTEN! Damn, the kitten biological clock just went off.

And no, I can't have a kitten. Too many cats in the house as it is.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Aw, sweet kitty.

It sounds like it what your DH needs, Fred Pete. The heart opens up to allow more affection, and doesn't take away from previous affections.

My mom and dad were adamant about not getting another dog, when Pepper died too young and with a lot of trauma. But they and the house were too empty without a pup running around. My sister sent them a photo of a litter of Scotties, and 6 hours later, they had Shadow.

Yay! That is one lucky cat.

I wrote about The Penguin Pool Murder, in which she plays a schoolteacher-turned-detective, in Movies not long ago. She doesn't strike me as having a lot of range, but she was a genius at the type she could play.
