And what's with all the carrots?

How does a state secede from a program?

Well, that didn't work so well for Texas in 1861, let's hope it doesn't work this time around either.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

msbelle - do you have an IEP for mac? (If this is too nosy, I'll piss off.)

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Are people, in general, just really that ... dumb?

Um, yes. It's cute that you aren't quite sure though!

Some Republican lawmakers — still reveling in Tuesday’s statewide election sweep — are proposing an unprecedented solution to the state’s estimated $25 billion budget shortfall: dropping out of the federal Medicaid program.

OK, good luck with THAT.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

And this part

they admit it may be as much a huge in-your-face to Washington as anything else.

makes them sociopathic assholes and somebody better fucking call them on it.

Because books.

Sara and her friend are in the living room watching music videos on YouTube and singing along. It's quite adorable, and improving my mood.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Both cats are fascinated by the fly buzzing around. Probably won't catch it, but you never know.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Personally, I wish my state would just get on with it and join Canada. We'll fit right in.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

no IEP, yet. We just had a full psych eval done which should let us know if we have any grounds to request one. As it is, he pulls high grades when he does the work, so schools have argued against doing anything since as they say "he has no learning disability", but since he had never been tested, we actually don;t know if he does or not.

Now tagless for your comfort.

That's such bullshit, msbelle. Owen reads at 4th grade level and does great on math, science, and social studies--doesn't mean he doesn't need therapy and special ed support.

As far as I know, there are other grounds for creating IEPs, so I would keep on them about it. I know it's not easy, though.
