The owner of a small, independent bookstore in Glencoe, IL has my copy of Sam the Bat to peruse overnight. She loves the title and cover illustration and said that she was certain it would be more enjoyable than what she was reading for her book club.

I stayed up way past my bedtime last night so I could watch The Vampire Diaries after my rehearsal (I'm apparently secretly 14 years old) and I am so unbelievably tired today. But it was worth it; it's Friday!

I can't decide if it's more embarrassing to just admit that I watch that show, or to admit that I honestly like it.

I think I prefer the darkness early in the evening than in the morning. There's something just dismal about going to work when it's still pitch black outside.

Of course, when I lived in China the sun was risen fully by about 4:00 AM and I think that was a bit excessive as well!
