Giles: Stop that, you two. Riley: He started it... Xander: He called me a bad name! I think it was bad; it might have been Latin.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Tech writers are the engineers of the writing world -- they're about structure, not pretty.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Awww, shit. People are already lining the parade route for the Giants. It's going to be nuts.

But I'm going to be there with Emmett, and EM. (Yeah, we pulled him from school for this.)

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Of course you pulled him from school. C'mon!

All my candidates lost except my four republicans, and none of the races were close. Healthcare and affirmative action both went down, but surprisingly, constitutional right to hunting did too. Thankfully both of the move moneys failed, although I'm sure that just means our local guys will cut like crazy and be able to blame the voters. The only surprising bit was that pot was really close. I guess it could still go through, but I don't think it will.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Tech writers are about readability, but that's not the same as pretty.

I'm glad we got to stay home today. I just hope it clears out by the time I head to dinner and West Side Story.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

This is what the Yankee parade looked like last year: [link]

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

And yet, I don't remember commuting problems.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Yep. This is why I try to only send PDFs. Yes, they can be edited, but it takes a fuckload of effort, and most don't bother. If they ask if I have it in Word, I tell them that I prefer edits on paper. They generally don't bother.

Well, NYC has infinitely more bridges, tunnels, and trains, than San Francisco does. I feel for the people that have to come in today for work or other reasons.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

What a lovely outfit!
