I think it's probably good news for Obama too, at least as far as 2012 is concerned.

Really? Because I'm terrified that that scary ignorant nitwit Palin will run in 2012 and win.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

The public still holds the Repubs in lower regard than the Dems.

Well the California results certainly speak to that, but country-wide, Dems seemed to take a pretty brutal beating.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

So Paladino didn't win in NY? Oh, thank goodness.

Honestly? A lot of people are out of work and scared. And if the Republicans had had a majority going in to this election -- and unemployment figures were the same -- I think they would have lost a lot of seats.

I truly can't fault people for being scared and wanting a fix. But DAMN, can I ever fault them for believing propaganda.

And now I have nightmares too. Although the losses for O'Donnell, Angle, and Miller don't speak well for the Tea Party.

We were talking about Rand Paul at work this morning, and chatty co-worker reminded me that he was replacing that whackjob Jim Bunning, who might as well have been Tea Party.

And while I was typing that, the fire alarm went off at work. See yas.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Nah. She'd be another Goldwater, but without the legacy. People who like her like her a lot, but she turns off everyone else. Dems, independents, and a reaonable chunk of the Republican Party too. She stands less chance than Christine O'Donnell did.

She could conceivably win the nomination, if the "Please, God, Anyone But Her" vote is totally fractured, but she's poison for a countrywide election.

Well the California results certainly speak to that, but country-wide, Dems seemed to take a pretty brutal beating.

Yes, but "who will you vote for" isn't quite the same question. (Starting with, "Generic" isn't an option on a ballot paper.) The Dems got slaughtered because they were in power and people are suffering, not because anyone was actually thrilled about the alternative.

Fire alarm was just a drill. Half my office walked over to the gas station next to the building to get coffee. WOO COFFEE!

It's probably valuable information that your office reacts to a fire alarm by seeking out the highest concentration of flammable material in the vicinity.

information libertarian

My neighbor is not the mayor - he missed the runoff by 600 votes, which is better than I expected him to do, go team! Other than the local races, Georgia did as expected and voted for all Republicans, including re-electing my representative, once called The Stupidest Man in Congress, Paul Broun. He's like Michelle Bachman, but in pants. He is so loopy. Sigh.
