I'm so sorry, but if it makes you feel any better, my fun-time-Buffy party night involved watching a robot throw Spike through a window, so if you want to trade... no wait, I wouldn't give up that memory for anything.

Ugh. This whole thing is depressing me. I mean, I'm glad that the Dems mostly seem to be winning in my state, but YEESH (plus a few of the ballot measures I wanted are not winning/losing as requested)

Crap, crap, crap. Ken Buck is ahead by 3% with 49% reporting.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

I'm consoling myself that it might work out okay. People impatiently expected Obama to single-handedly pull us out of the worst economic trough since the Great Depression within 2 years. When they see the Republicans can't do it in 2 years, maybe they'll pendulum right back.

Especially if the Repubs try and shut down the government like they did back in 1995. That'll work out just as well (cost megabucks to recover, piss off Social Security recipients with late payments/inability to enroll, put veterans' medical treatment on hold, shut down national parks, and loads of other stuff that shout "You voted for the Republicans--this is what you get."

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

It may seem minor, but I'm pretty disappointed that the SF measure to prevent people from sitting or lying on the sidewalk is passing by a wide margin. And that the CA proposition to support state parks is losing (although that's less surprising).

Gansler's already opened an investigation.

Of course he has, it's news, so he'll get to be interviewed, maybe a press conference or two.

I dislike the guy, I knew him when he was an AUSA in DC and he was a dick.

I can't stop checking on returns.

Senate race is back to even. I smell a recount before this gets called.

The Amendment to define a "person" is declared defeated. Woot.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Fuck. It's neck and neck for Fiorina and Boxer. Got a bad feeling about that one.

eta: But Nate Silver tells me that's unlikely. I'm going to try breathing.

Jeez, it's been crazy in SF lately. Politics, Halloween and World Series is a potent cocktail for the locals.

meara - Nov 02, 2010 8:27:45 pm PDT #3485 of 30001

megan, I know a number of people who were campaigning against the sit/lie thing. Sorry it's passing. That sucks.

In Washington, a number of "we desperately need money for shit!" propositions are not passing. BOO.

I thought that MSNBC called it for Boxer a while ago?
