tomorrow morning I start my 24 hours of clear liquids only. I really should have planned better and gotten some thai food or made something yum. Instead I'll have a big salad, some homemade cornbread and some ice cream, I guess.

I have no bananas.
I do have a mug of hot red wine which is surprisingly tasty. I didn't notice it was sitting on top of the stove when I turned the oven on to 400 degrees for an hour. Oops. It was either toss a 3/4 full bottle of a nice zinfandel or tell myself it's just like mulled.
And boy-howdy do I need it after today. Though after is not really the word since I'm still in the shit.

CJ made turkey chili tonight. Boy did a good job - could have used a bit more spices, but it is the first time he has done it completely on his own.

You know what would be good? Making sandwich cookies with these [link] and sweetened mascarpone (I got some on whim. I've never had it plain before. It's like the essence of butter and cream. Kinda divine on chile cheese bread.)
