Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Castle would be a hoot to mainline. I love their banter. And the supporting cast is funny and great.

Our wings are not tired.

I am so behind on awesome shows that one day I will mainline (thus adding to my gettable-allusions-repetoire!). I have done The Firefly and The Friday Night Lights and am on season 3 of The Bones. I bought The Justified season one but haven't opened it yet. Have not started on The Castle or The Supernatural or The Fringe or The Breaking Bad.

And now that I have rediscoverd my latent bookworm self, it's taking much, much longer to mainline The TV Shows. Because now I want to read instead...

Kashi:

And now I am reminded, too, of how completely anti-social I am when in bookworm ville. Megan's sister was right, it does actually feel very self-indulgent. I mean, I am basically making no social plans because as much as I love my friends, I love getting under my electric blanket and reading "Little Bee" even more right now. I know it's wrong.

ita, funny you say that. It's mostly bedtime falling asleep comfort watching more than I am actively watching. I find it soothing, but not really gotta-keep-my-eyes-on-tv the way other shows are.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

We ditched Bones long ago. Also, House.

Yeah, I only watch House when I am with the boyfriend. He loves it.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

The last time I watched House was when I was home sick. Not really a good combo.

Megan's sister was right, it does actually feel very self-indulgent. I mean, I am basically making no social plans because as much as I love my friends, I love getting under my electric blanket and reading "Little Bee" even more right now. I know it's wrong.

Why is that wrong?
