Played with Kaylee. Sun came out, and I walked on my feet and heard with my ears. I ate the bits, the bits stayed down, and I work. I function like I'm a girl. I hate it because I know it'll go away. The sun goes dark and chaos has come again. Bits. Fluids. What am I?!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Leo supposedly has a chip, being as he came from the SPCA, but the vet scanned for it and found nothing, so maybe he doesn't have one. I'm not sure how they're supposed to work, really - if soneone finds him and takes him to a vet or the SPCA, then if he has a chip they can find me, but if he doesn't get found or the finder just keeps him, it doesn't help. I want to be able to *go find him*, not have to wait for some good samaritan to bring him back. (I have no faith in humanity.) I'd like to put a GPS chip in him so I can track him with my smartphone, but I don't think that's feasible.

ION, I want to buy a crockpot. Anyone have suggestions?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Well, Sparky, if he doesn't like tags and he doesn't keep the collar on then he doesn't have much room to gripe.

Darby came pre-chipped, but if she hadn't I think I would do it. Definitely need at least one or two of the three.

if he doesn't get found or the finder just keeps him, it doesn't help.

Well, nothing much helps then. But that's one reason for the collar, especially - it lets a finder know that there is someone out there looking for him. I can't imagine letting a dog around in the city without some kind of identifier. Cats I guess are a little different, since people don't assume that a loose, unmarked cat is necessarily a stray.

I suppose you could find some kind of remote alarm that you could attach to a collar, but he'd have to be in pretty close range, I'd guess.

Scrappy, thanks for that link, I am getting those for the cats and for the parentals' dog.

Unfortunately, Scrappy's solution doesn't help when he takes the collar off (he thinks she's cuter that way).

msbelle, I meant to tell you that while in LA we met with four of my DH's high school buddies, and one Hockadaisy, but not the one who is friends with Nathan Fillion because he was not in town. I may have pouted just a little.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Onerosity #3: Laundry, sorted and started.

Onerosity #4: Showered and in outside pants.

Onerosity #5: Dishes, dishwasher run and handwash dishes soaking.

Onerosity #6: Desk, clearing in process.

It's a good thing it's going well this morning because without sleeping last night I am likely to peter out in early afternoon.

pouting is completely understandable. Hockadaisy, HA, I had never heard that. My tiny little barely running school had such an inferiority complex to the DFW big established schools.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Happy Birthday shrift!

I'm ready for the work day to be over now.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'm taking the kids sledding for their last day of vacation. Time to start bundling up.

my friend has been selling off his collection of various sci-fi and music collections. It is heavily star wars, and a lot has already been sold (this has been his living for the last 18 months), right now the stuff he has listed is on sale: [link]
