Funny thing about black and white. You mix it together and you get gray. And it doesn't matter how much white you try and put back in, you're never gonna get anything but gray.

The status is NOT quo.

I am not warm at all. The 39 degree temp is chilly in an un-insulated house.

So much this. I'm always freezing at school and at home when the temp drops below 60, honestly. Much colder than I was when I lived I'm CT where people understand concepts like heat and insulation.

I still have 9 final exams to grade before I can go to bed and I do not want to. I also don't want to go back to work tomorrow. Whine.

You can do it! Just a few more to go!

Hmmm... weird. I lost half my post. But it was whining so not useful.

I boiled beets tonight. I think I'll have them with apples tomorrow.

That almost sounds like a proverb, translated from another language. Like, "One man's troubles are but fleas to his neighbor's camel." Or something.

Oh! Also, since my illness is lingering, I've watched almost all of S2 of The OC over the long weekend. I remember watching it when it first aired, but I only got about 1/3 of the way into the season, so I didn't catch any of the INSANO shit from the back part of the season. Alcoholism! People getting shot! Caleb dying!

Kinda exhausting, really. And not as good as S1.

But through both seasons, Julie Cooper is consistently AWESOME.

You could just add footnotes to your posts, like "from the old Danish folklore."

  • * from Icelandic Mythology?

Noah bit Grace on the arm today and when asked why he said, "She was in my way." Oh dear. I'd love to bite everyone who got in my way too. That seems unlikely though. And unsanitary.

Because books.

Welcome home, Sox fam! I put up pictures of Sara's hair in LJ and Flickr, btw.

"She was in my way."

Some days I want a rocket launcher for that.

Yay for Sox being home!

I had a very hearty beef stew dinner with my folks (next time I cut the meat in half: waaaay too much beef in the recipe), and now I'm home and not wanting to go to work tomorrow either. Bah.
