It's good to have cargo. Makes us a target for every other scavenger out there, though, but sometimes that's fun too.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Yeah, football is not going so well.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am kinda stoked with some of my after Christmas shopping. Flannel sheets for me and mac that came in bags that will become reusable Christmas giftbags. Metal tins with trail mix in them, the tins will also become reuable gift wrappers for years to come. Got mac some philosophy gingerbread man bath stuff that he is surprisingly thrilled with. Then some holiday packaged household stuff that I use anyway that was 70% off just because of packaging.

not your mom's socks.

Sox, were you outside when Mike and Amy and I were talking about Hunger Games?

I was. This is similar, though I don't think I heard the whole story. Megan makes good dark and stormies, according to DH.

I want my knitting, but I'm pretty sure it's checked.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Wow. I just went to update my payment info so I could get today's Groupon, and discovered that my bank is boycotting the entire state of Illinois because they've had so many card fraud incidents there. Damn.

What?? How can they do that?? Holy crap. Like, if you lived in Illinois, what would you do? Or is this a local bank, that just assumes no one ever travels to Chicago? Good grief.

Local credit union, but I suspect it's probably actually their credit card processer behind it - but even though they have few or no customers living there, I'm sure they're hearing plenty from people who travel there, as the looniversity on the whole is a ridiculously well-traveled joint.

Mostly, I'm just kind of stunned that it's, you know, the amurrican midwest. In a way that I wouldn't have been if they'd said, "hey, y'all, we've been getting a lot of card fraud in Kazakhstan", right?

(I actually got card-frauded by Illinois about a month back, but totally put it behind me after it was all dealt with, which said local credit union were total customer-service saints about. Now I find out I apparently wasn't the only one!)
