It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Amy, I'm so sorry.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oh, Amy, it's all just so hard. Thank you for the update. Peace for your SIL and smooth passing for your brother.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Amy, I'm so sorry. I echo Liese, thank you for updating us, and peace to you all.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Not to be whatever, but I was talking about prayer with my family over Christmas, and I said I mostly pray for ease, and I think it works irrespective of God. This is totally what I was thinking about.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That makes sense to me.

{{{amyth}}} I wish I had more words.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Thanks, y'all, so much.

Jesse, I totally agree about the ridiculousness (and the awesomeness) of the internet. It's one of the things that has gotten me through the past few months, to be sure. You all being the best part of that.

I agree, brenda. I don't think he's been in any pain, which is remarkable. Even when he was conscious at the beginning of all this, he never had any headaches. And it all happened so fast, I don't think he ever really got a chance to feel real anger or disappointment, or fear. At least not too much. Unfortunately, this has been truly awful for my SIL.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Oh Amyth, I am so sorry. I wish peace for you and your family.

amyth, much peace and ease to you and all those lives touched by your brother. Especially your SIL. I know my uncle bore the brunt of my aunt's decline and death and he's still hurting.
