Feel better, and safe travel wishes to all the Buffistas who are sick and/or traveling. And especially to those who are both.
The dog float was cute. I'm kinda bleh on lots of the floats this year.
Was that the Natural Balance "Havin' A Splash" [link] float? Natural Balance is one of the pet foods that has my seal of approval. I didn't watch the parade, since I was working. But the pictures on the website make it look pretty nifty.
HA to Jesse!
Liese, I wish you were closer. I could sit and knit with you and avoid the forever footballness going on in our living room.
Ha Jesse!
There is no football over here Kat, but I warn you there might be Club Penguin going on.
Franny dressed up as a witch today! I am so enjoying this.
Did you guys know you can take a a sheet of puff pastry and a can of cherry pie filling and have fresh cherry turnovers in no time?
Well, you can.

Cool! Because I have that stuff.
Actually frozen cherries and pie crust, but you know - cherry pie.
Or possibly the ginger cake. If I can figure out how to make caramel sauce.
Currently however I am on Irish Coffee.
I'm cooking up a storm today, going through a bunch of veg and stuff that's been sitting.
What can I do with dried figs? I'm sure I won't eat them as is.
I made cinnamon rolls for New Year's brunch today. They came out ok, but I've had better. I'd try a more promising recipe, but I'm kind of sweet breakfast food-ed out.
Tomorrow I think I'll make some beef barley soup.

Cut them up into yogurt or cereal? Add them to frozen cherries and pie crust for a fig-cherry turnover?
If they are too hard, rehydrate them by pouring boiled water over them and soaking for 30 minutes or so.
