Speaking of Cirque: Have any of you seen the ads for the Cirque take on Michael Jackson.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am with you on SA. Will not give them money.

I've moved a bit of furniture around in my front room. The new recliners are going to need to be re-arranged once the tree comes down.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Happy 1/1/11!!!

Slept late, drinking coffee, need to take my Batman print to get framed.

IIRC, Steph is well-acquainted with the joys of gluten-free beer.

Ah, well, at least we've got her back!

It's true; I am acquainted with GF beer, but I always appreciate recommendations, since Budweiser's version of GF beer (which is the most widely available) is nasty. I mean, if you haven't had beer in a while and desperately miss it, then it's a passable substitute.

But I've had *excellent* GF beer (my brother's brewpub makes several, and has won awards for them, beating out Budweiser [which isn't hard to do (meow)]), so it's hard to drink the Budweiser nastiness. It's easier to just drink wine or hard liquor. Occaionally a cider.

We went to see Red at the dollar movie. Gosh, that was a lot of fun. "I'm going to bring the pig!"

Wasn't it great? The pig made me laugh my ass off. And -- as I believe I've mentioned before -- Helen Mirren with a gun, OMG.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I so loved RED: Hellen Mirren changed her fancy shoes to practical boots to go into action! Perfect.

I had a nice NYE with a friend who came over and we watched Truly, Madly, Deeply and Toy Story 3. And then at midnight some of my wonderful neighbors stood on the sidewalk and fired a handgun into the air. And I realized I really really need to move this year.

Now I am mildly hungover because I went to an afternoon party and had yummy drinks and then came home and helped kill a bottle of bubbly. I have to remember that it doesn't matter if I drink over a really long period: I'm still going to be hungover if I have more than 3 drinks in a day.

I now have laundry in the wash, I have cleaned the kitchen, and I'm planning to go for dim sum with my nieces. And if I have time I may go see Tangled before it disappears from the theaters.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh dear, I am so glad to hear I missed the Reagan float.

I should finish cooking breakfast, shouldn't I? Hmm.

I'm at the train station. Why are so many people traveling today? They should go away.

Mmm dim sum sounds so good right now, but it turns out I'm making French toast.

Ooo, I like the dragon!

My kids are clamoring for more Harry Potter so I think after breakfast we'll sit down and read another couple chapters. LOVE how much they love those books!

Because books.

And if I have time I may go see Tangled before it disappears from the theaters.

I took Sara to a matinee on Wednesday and it was completely full, which I didn't expect even with the kids off school. It was also delightful.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

The SO woke up, so I took a breakfast break with the Tivo paused. It took me more than a half an hour, so I must have missed the mermaids. I'll have to check the other tivo'd feed later.

I loved the dogs! I always love the dogs. The wild mustangs float was pretty. Agree about the house boat helicopter thing. And wasn't that just their ad? Dislike. I like the bagpipers.

So yeah, breakfast was scrambled eggs and pancakes with powdered sugar and strawberry slices. It was nom, and a great way to start the new year.

I'm on the train now, at least. And I'm wearing a shirt with ninjas on it. It seemed like a good sartorial choice to start the year.
