We are spending NYE at ND's mom's house so his sister could--in theory--go out with her husband and spend the night somewhere. The problem is that she refused to answer the phone for the past 24 hours and when we got here his mom's caretaker said they said they would be "back later" so we may have driven all the way down here for nothing. Because we don't know for sure if they are coming back, we also don't know if we are sleeping in her room, so now I'm washing the sheets in ND's niece's room (she and her fiancé are also gone) so we have somewhere to sleep. Grr. Do not want.

Made duck again tonight. Now I am on to a taste test for gimlets. Homemade lime syrup vs. Rose's vs. super pricey Rangpur lime syrup vs. a middle option I can't see right now. Bob is currently anonymizing mixed drinks with flags and I'll taste blind and give him tasting notes to type. Fun!

Kat, my MiL is in Cedars. I was able to see her today for a brief visit when I went to pick up DH. She looks pretty sick to me, poor thing. I don't think she'll be out of there until Sunday or Monday.
I do have the nail polish box (thanks Dana!) I'm waiting for the chance to meet up with Burrell to go through it.
Oh yay! Next week would be good for me. The kids are in camp during the day, and work will be low key as I just need to prep for the following week.
