If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

So, they rode in on the shirt-tails of your Aunt?

Hey! I have a shirt-tail cousin! Awesome.

I have no blood cousins, and Irene was like nine or ten, and I was probably 18, when my uncle and aunt married, so "cousin" has always felt like it needs more explanation.

OTOH, since she's Philippina and we are the kind of white that causes glare problems in direct sunlight, not giving any explanation is also fun.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I have not, because of the gluten issues. Although, now that I think of it, I haven't actually tested whether or not beer will cause me gastrointestinal woes. I expect that it would, but I haven't tried.

Steph, there is such a thing as gluten-free beer. I can get it here at the local grocery that carries a lot of gluten-free stuff. It's about $9 a six-pack and tastes a little light but it's there if you're interested.

eta: Happy New Year, billytea!

There's a local brewery in Milwaukee that does a gluten-free that's won awards. You might be able to find it around you. [link]

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

IIRC, Steph is well-acquainted with the joys of gluten-free beer.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I just turned on New Year's Rockin' Eve. Willow Smith is going to be performing. I so don't understand the appeal of that song beyond the kind of fun video.

I'm pretty sure I'm about to send a bob-likes-carrots love note to my neighbors at midnight.

OH! Speaking of which, did I mention I got news from Ms.Louise just before I left town? She's out of the old apartment, living in a senior-specific (though not senior living) apt highrise downtown, not far from me. JUST her, no room for mooching relatives. Various people have set her all up, so she's got cable, a new flatscreen tv, new bed, new kitchenstuff and STRICT overnight visitor policy SO NO ASSHOLE MOOCHING RELATIVES. I'm so happy for her. Hope in the next couple weeks to make a trip with Loki down to see her and her new digs. She still only qualifies for a daily nurse, but she was able to keep the one she had and liked, so that is good (one who is the source of Loki.)
