Probably online, bon. Or one of those little gifty Christmas shops, if you have a place like that around.
Sara and I saw Tangled today, and loved it. The neighbors just gave her some hand-me-downs, too, and she's running around in her *new* jammie pants and sweatshirt very happily.
I wonder if these people would say the same thing if she'd instead adopted a child of a different ethnicity.
People used to tell my stepmom that we looked alike. Um, we don't. But perhaps there was mirroring, so I took it as flattering. Well, and I thought the person saying it was stupid but that reflected on them, not us.
However I do accept that I look a hell of a lot like my mom. And people still often think we're a couple and not mother and daughter. Whatever.
bon bon, is there a Petty's Hallmark store near you? Or a Hobby Lobby or Michael's?

Based on how often my Brazilian-and-a-head-shorter-than-me best friend in middle school and I were mistaken for twins? I'm guessing not. (We both had dark hair and wore glasses. So you can see how people would be confused...)
Someone please tell me that it's really not a good idea to go around wishing violence on small children.
Matilda and I were just looking at school pictures and talking and she happened, casually, offhand, to mention that one of the girls has been telling her she's not allowed to play with her best friend and they're not allowed to hold hands, and the ringleader has been randomly walking up to her and saying, "Matilda, you're stupid."
Fuck them both. I really want to shove both their heads into a toilet right now.
I've been stuck inside with a whiny three year-old for a full week now, half of that snowbound. Wishing violence on small children is the only thing keeping from doing any right about now...
Huh. I just discovered that my for-real godmother-where-I-was-standin-godmother at the most unorthodox godparents (hindu, lapsed catholic, pagan, athiest) Catholic baptism ever kinda was a fairly high exposure Broadway actor. I knew she was on Broadway, but I didn't quite realize she was On Broadway, if you know what I mean. Leads in a handful of things. Not so much recently, but she's pursuing writing and producing stuff more since I met her.
Hah, and now I recall telling her I don't really do musicals. Hehehe.
JZ, mention it to the teachers/director. At least at the program my nephews and SIL are in, that is frowned on and written up. Which is less satisfying, I know.
(SIL was chortling with unbridled glee -there may have been a witch is dead dance- that the one kid Tyler ever bit -other than his brother, natch- finally got expelled. Kid really provoked others and was written up so many times, but attempting to clock 2 teachers and wiping poop on the walls? Kinda a dealbreaker.)

This might be perfect, thanks!
