Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

When I was in the city last night, we were trying to drive down 87th near Amsterdam, and some people driving a little tiny car were trying to parallel park in a space that was blocked by a snowbank from the plow. After trying several times to back into this space (please note, by the way, that there was a parking garage on the next corner with a huge, easily visible sign), they then decided to try to front in. This space was small enough that fronting in wouldn't work even with clear streets. But anyway, the car got stuck in the snow bank and couldn't get out. Front wheels just spinning. And it was stuck at an angle so that no other cars could get by. They tried pushing it, and then we got out of our car to help (I suggested we use some of the newspapers we had in our backseat for traction under the tires, but it didn't work), and then some people from the cars that were behind ours got out to help push, but that car wasn't going anywhere. Finally, all five cars that had lined up behind this one had to go in reverse down the whole block and take a different route.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

The spinning kills me. Especially in Queens, I would hear cars spinning and spinning for way too long -- they couldn't realize it was time to try something else? Yikes.

Reason #whatever I'm just as glad not to drive.

Shoveling is reason #n I'm just as glad to live in an apartment.

I'm so bored, you guys! I can't work on much until people get back next week! Argh....

I have stuff I could do, but it's nothing that can't wait.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'm bored plus my butt is sore.

Bored bored bored. I've reached the end of the internets, and am reduced to reading old fanfic. All of the bosses have left for the day and/or weekend, and I'm stuck here until about 4:30. Two and a half more hours--gah!!

This is basically where I am. It's not like there's NOTHING I could be doing. Lazy.

Oh, and I'm cold, too. I've got my fleece jacket on, and have had to put it over my head to keep the cold air that's blowing down from the vent directly over my head off of me.

My nose is getting chilled.

This is totally me.

I was assigned something right before I went on vacation and I have completely forgot what I am supposed to be doing.
