You're wrong about River. River's not on the ship. They didn't want her here, but she couldn't make herself leave. So she melted... Melted away. They didn't know she could do that, but she did.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Get better, sick peoples!

I have never seen Breakfast at Tiffany's. Don't worry, I just put it in my Netflix queue.

I'm really tired of these misogynistic beer commercials.

Have you seen the one that compares dating to a jungle and calls the woman prey? I hate that commercial!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Here is something enjoyable to read: [link]

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Just FYI, Victoria's Secret sale is going on right now, and I scored 2 bras for $40, which I badly needed.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I just know when I was a kid I wanted to be fabulous and wear Givenchy and light people`s ridiculous hats on fire with my ridiculous cigarette holder. I didn`t know what a cigarette holder was, exactly, and I hated smoke, I just wanted to hold it and give that nonchalant shrug. I missed all the stuff about identity and meaning and sexuality. In fact I don`t think I realized that anyone slept with anyone in the whole film. I was more shocked in Paris When It`s Hot because Audrey lies down on top of her costar. Shocking! I should rewatch that too.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Dylan's school was open today, so he and DH walked. I walked them as far as the bus stop, but when we realized that the chances of the bus actually showing up were slim to none, I headed home to take a bath and they walked the rest of the way there. I hope it's not just D and the teacher alone all day!

No idea how my groceries will be delivered. My street still hasn't been plowed so the truck will have to park around the corner.

Oh, and still no subway service in most of Brooklyn, including 2 out of three lines nearest to me. Basically everything from Coney Island to downtown is still being dug out from under the snow.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm supposed to be meeting my sister in the city today to see Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson. I'm taking the train in, and allowing about an extra two hours. I figure that if, by some miracle, NJ Transit is actually running on time, then I'll just take the extra time to do some shopping (still need a few Chanukah presents) and maybe go to Zen Palate for dinner, instead of just grabbing falafel somewhere.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Harvard Square is quiet w/o the students- it's nice! Wicked wind has dropped off by half.

It's positively goofy that my travel was disrupted given the little snow Baltimore got. I mean, I understand that when they made their call, it looked like we'd get whomped, but I'm glad we didn't. I'll let the winds clear the paltry maybe 2 inches of snow off my car in the long term lot. 10" would've been a nightmare.

I've got one kid in the bath, one desperately trying to still be asleep on the couch under a purple blanket and the kitchen floor is mopped. Now, how to trick the 8 year old into starting to clean up his room...
