Checking in from down the coast. No great production, it's within an hour's drive of our house. Wallybee's parents were supposed to be with us, so the apartment is feeling quite spacious. Things which have impressed Ryan:
The beach
The ocean
Seagulls
Things that have impressed his parents:
His willingness to sleep in a strange place.
Meanwhile, waiting until after Christmas to buy each other pressies has paid of, courtesy of the Amazon sale. We gave now ordered seasons of Castle, House, Dexter and Glee.
megan - this is why folks should fly through Denver. If you get stuck, you have someone willing to come and get you instead of being stuck in airport hell.
Burrell - lots of diagnosis~ma and let-it-be-minor~ma to your MIL.
Hush your mouth, Jesse. I fly home tomorrow afternoon.

True dat.
Sadly, I am using miles, or, believe me, I would never have booked anything but a nonstop.
Any recs for hotels around the SLC airport would be appreciated.
Man, there's a hotel I've stayed at a couple times when I've been stranded at SLC, but hell if I can remember which one it was. It's favored by Delta.
Damn dirty birds.
Good luck getting home, all you travelers.

Well, that's who I'm flying so I guess that's where they'll send me. Hopefully all will go well, because I really just want to be home.
I'm sure the fact that I can't check-in online is in no way a bad sign...
I'm really tired of these misogynistic beer commercials.
Happy 3rd Day of Christmas everyone!
It was nice to be in Vermont and finally see the house my sister had built. The cabin itself was very predictable. The best of everything, but no personality.
Went through some of my old stuff left in the original lake house and found my prom dress and a bridesmaid dress (think Laura Ashley in the 80s for both). Anyway, they are a gorgeous blue and raspberry cotton so I'm thinking of taking them to a tailor and getting them turned into napkins or something useful.
My sister was her usual holiday bi-polar self, so being shut up in a snowy cabin with no TV or internet was everything you might imagine. It's a good thing I really like my BIL and the WCNs. Of course, now that World's Cutest Nephew is 6'4" and the World's Cutest Niece is my height, I may have to stop calling them that.
