hip deep in pie

We've had a couple of inches of snow so far, followed by a lot of rain. It's slush city! There's not much wind yet.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I love the internet. I just learned on Facebook that my local Lord & Taylor will be opening at noon. I already called the supermarket next door, and they are open, but that means no rush to get out, since I want to hit both. Good times.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I want a snow day! Okay, not really, but a day of not going to work would be nice.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Ah, slept in, in my own bed, till about 9. SO NICE.

There's no snow here, for which I am grateful. Today will be putting away All The Xmas Things, and going to the grocery store and Target. I'm having a NYE party, and the house is pretty trashed at this point.

And I need to schedule a haircut this week, for me and for D.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Fan-fucking-tastic. Woke up, threw up. I have whatever virus Owen got Christmas Eve.

Monday Fail!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Oh no, Cash! That sucks.

Team Zmayhem has the week off, as JZ is on the state mandated furlough (with pay for her since she has so much accumulated vacation), and the kids are out of school.

I expect I'll take Matilda to see Tangled some time this week.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Made it to work by walking in the streets -- very few sidewalks shoveled.

I can only complain so much about that, having done a halfassed job on my own.

Snow-ready hiking boots, heavy coat, hat & etc make such a happy difference.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

I hurled too, but it was my own fault. Too much expensive chocolate at one sitting. It was stupid, but I've never even really had a hangover. On one level, I was probably really overdue for something like that to happen. Still, the visuals were quite shocking and hopefully will not be repeated. IoN, I'm wearing my "What Would Lester Freamon Do?" t-shirt.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Also, I frequently get text messages from Tracfone advising me of various offers - I think those do not count against the minutes.

That's correct -- offers from Tracfone aren't deducted from your minutes. FTR, I have had Tracfone as my regular provider since 2004, and have been reasonably pleased with them. My Tracfone is my only phone, and it's worked out just fine for me.

Oh no, Cash! I hope it's just a 24-hour thing. Poor you.

Our flights today (OKC to Atlanta, Atlanta to Albany) seem to still be happening, so hopefully I will get to see my family again soon! I didn't really miss being with them too much on Christmas Day itself, but it still doesn't really feel like the holidays until I get to see my parents, lounge around in their house, and try to stuff all their presents into my suitcase for the flight home.
