These girls have the most beautiful dresses. And so do I -- how about that?

With fear in my heart, I hit Costco today and there was lots of parking and shorter than normal lines. Tomorrow, Kelly gets to face the Old Navy return line. Glad it isn't me.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Belated happy birthdays!

We've had quite the Christmas. Big ups, big downs. I'm holding onto the good and trying to support others through the bad.

To counter the total suckatude of eHarmony (I probably wouldn't be upset if I had found someone who wanted to communicate with me, but no luck so far), Kelly brought a friend over for a while.

He was her middle school boy friend. They were friends in high school, but she hasn't seen him much since graduation. He is visiting family here and the kids spent the afternoon catching up with each other. Apparently he has since come out of the closet per other mutual friends, but I don't know if he has shared that directly with Kelly yet. It was great to see him as a young man.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So, who has the cable company mojo? I want to pay less -- my introductory offer expired -- but don't actually want to get rid of anything! What can I tell them?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

With fear in my heart, I hit Costco today and there was lots of parking and shorter than normal lines.

My grocery store wasn't crowded, but once I got about halfway through my list, I realized it was because they were basically out of everything. Combination of Christmas + Sunday + panicky blizzard shoppers = empty shelves. I was able to get everything I needed for dinner tomorrow, but just barely!

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Has anyone ever ordered from TVMania and then had to return? My brothers had a mutual moment of geekasm and ordered Two Guys and a Girl for themselves and each other and need to return the spare copies.

Nice! Thanks, javachik. I am in the chat now, so we'll see.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Hey, all! Home finally, since Thursday -- will be so happy to sleep in my own bed tonight, and wander around without a bra.

Not to mention smoking in my nightgown in MY OFFICE and not in the freezing bloody north Iowa cold.

Traveling was ok, thank god, unlike last year. We got to see my mom and dad and sister today for the whole afternoon, instead of a driveby like last year. My mom and sister totally hit everything out of the park for D and M -- geekery and dinosaurs abounded.

Me, I got a big bottle of Chanel Allure, which I've been out of for almost two years, and a waffle iron, among assorted other things.

My in-laws? Got me a fuckin' KitchenAid standing mixer! How rock star is that? I will have that thing till I am 100. I can't wait to bake some shit. Who wants to come have a baking party with me?!

ETA:

And dur, Happy Birthdays to Jesse, Theo and Rayne!!!!
