My kids are still up and TOO EXCITED. Some the the screaming has been supersonic. Dogs across Georgia are barking.

Put on Charlie Brown to try and calm things down. They are both in new Hanna jammies.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Merry Christmas, Buffistas!

What a strange holiday season it's been here at our house. Hannukah was so absurdly early this year that December was All Baby Prep All The Time - not very festive! And yet here I am on vacation...kind of. It's just weird having these two weeks off with nothing to fill them.

I know tomorrow I'm going to be craving dim sum (like any good New York Jew), but the last time we went to our favorite local place on a holiday weekend the wait was nearly two hours, so that will have to be a post-baby trip. Maybe when my mom is here.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Merry Christmas to them as celebrate, and merry Friday to everyone else, unless it's already Saturday where you are.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

We still have not had snow that has stuck around for more than an hour. Feels very un-Christmas-y outside.

Inside is much more alive with the holiday spirit. The advent calendar has been completed. The gingerbread train is loaded with royal icing and candy. Today we made fresh egg-nog, watched Christmas Vacation, baked banana bread, and are cooking a big Christmas dinner. CJ is currently at a friend's house watching their idea of a holiday movie. The Shining. Don't ask, I don't know.

Happy holidays to everyone. My invisible internet buffistas are the absolute best.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Come on, airport shuttle! Take me away! I've forgotten to pack what I've forgotten to pack. It's too late now.

Hmm. Can I take clementines across security?

Happy holidays, everyone! Not that I won't be online via my phone until I get to JA tomorrow.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Mmmm clementines.

Because books.

Crap, I forgot to get clementines! Ah well.

Sara wrote the cutest note to Santa ever, to leave with the cookies. And signed it, "Love, Sara Lastname." MY KID, MAN. I think I'll keep her.

Much merry of every kind to all of you. This place has saved my life a million times, and I'm grateful for all of you.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

CASS! So I watched Top Gear USA finally and I LOVED IT! It didn't hurt that a) Tony Hawk! and b) they competed over what GM car to bring back and the Roadmaster was one of the cars! My swag wag! AND the Roadmaster kicked all ass! Because it is awesome! Whoo!

I love my car.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Overheard while Olivia frosts cookies for Santa: I've been a lot naughty. But somedays, I was nice.

Backscatter, baby. And now a margarita. For which I was carded. My flight isn't for forever.
