I looked at some Not Your Daughter's Jeans in Nordies recently, but they looked really high waisted and the current low-rise fashion actually works well for me - I hate things on my stomach, and my waist and hips are 2 sizes apart, so things that sit on the hips avoid that problem. I said out loud in Nordies "I am not ready for Not Your Daughter's Jeans - my daughter is only 7. I have a few years yet," and cracked up the staffer.
I am having pre-Xmas anxiety. I have socks for the stockings for everyone except the Dillo - I haven't been able to find good socks in his size (and also he doesn't need socks right now.) Will he notice? Will he care? Also things for the kids in general are kinda minimalist, especially on the toy front. If my brother's package comes today that will help I suspect, but I know my brother, and he probably sent it at 2am today. My mother is making the kids bathrobes and totally flaked - Casper's isn't even cut out - and mr. flea's side of the family seems to have thing thing where if they don't see you in person, they don't give much. But they are little kids! They need BIG WOW presents!
I am going to feel like this all day, and they will be fine tomorrow. Laura Ingalls got a tin cup and a penny and a stick of candy and it was the Best Christmas Ever.
