It's good to have cargo. Makes us a target for every other scavenger out there, though, but sometimes that's fun too.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Wow. Just got a phone call from a cousin of my mom. Apparently I met her when I was quite young. Beyond that, I don't ever remember meeting her. She had sent a Christmas card to mom last year and I had to send a note back breaking the hard news to her.

Anyway, I sent her a card this year and mentioned that we would be in California in May. Today was the first time I've talked with her and she sounds delightful. She mentioned something about the family tree and where she fits in it. I told her I had some genealogy records from my mom which included her side of the family. I need to copy those and send them to her. Sounds like she had a brother-in-law she didn't know about.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

So are bow ties.

I want to be Quorra for Halloween. Not sure why. I have little interest in seeing the movie. I don't like 13.

Okay, bedtime. Up early tomorrow.

OMG, there's snow and ice here on the ground here in Columbus.

But we're inside now and watching The Princess Bride!

In possibly the I am the dumbest person ever news, I went out shopping for jeans for myself on Christmas eve eve.

I drove 95 miles to the Apple store today so I could not get waited on after a 40-minute wait.

He was thinking of finishing off the look with a walking stick he found in Chinatown that had a carved dragon handle. Though, I must note for Jessica's sake, there was also a cool walking stick with a turtle on top. A sleek, fast swimming turtle.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Cousins are here. Kids are still awake. Oy. Not going to be pretty tomorrow.

The tree is trimmed! Cookies are still unbaked, but dough is ready to roll. Kat I am in awe of your 8 pounds of butter. I bow to your kitchen-fu.
