Lorne: Snakes? Uh-huh. And they came out of your what? Okay. Okay, well, did they get up there themselves or is this part of a, you know, a thing? No, I'm not judging...Do we fight snakes? Angel: Only if they're giant. Or demons. Or giant demons. Are they giant demon snakes? Lorne: Well, unless this guy's 30 feet tall, I'm thinking they're of the garden variety.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Fabulous, Consuela!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

That slow cooker chili sounds great. Oh, and reminds me I was going to make my aunt`s beef stew today. Better thaw that beef.

In worse news, I am super sinusy today. I was yesterday but was hoping it would go away. It didn`t. So I most likely will be spending my holiday with the ick. Waily waily. At least I will hopefully have my Nook? So the seven days I was expecting to spend doing nothing but reading I`ll have an excuse for?

The status is NOT quo.

Hello all! We are in the Fort Lauderdale airport. We had a nice visit with my dad (he got to show off his new townhouse) and are now headed back to SoCal. We fly into the John Wayne airport and then will immediately drive down to the hotel near ND's mom's house in El Cajon for the annual ND's Family Christmas hijinks. No drama ~ma would be appreciated. We get to drive back home and have our own Christmas the night of the 25th (whee!) but then have to go back down to stay with ND's mom NYE and NYD so his sister can go out on the town--which she deserves but is a bit of a bummer. Ah well--I shall treat it as an excuse to work on grading, which I have a HUGE pile of. I also have to write nine college recs before the 1st. Meep.

Everyone needs to be healthy and happy this weekend. I so decree.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm in the Raleigh airport, with a gimlet in hand, and a manicure appointment in 5 minutes. Usually I don't go for manicures, as they make my hands feel hot. But since I'm heading to Detroit that's more a feature than a bug today.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Safe travels to Calli, Pix, and ND! And a drama-free Christmas to all.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

And I'm off for a leetle bit of shopping with my nieces and then a late lunch with my sis & bro & SIL.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Safe travels, Calli, PixDesigns, and anyone else on the move today.

May you find adequate and timely food, Kathy, and may your visit go well and give you great news!

Consuela, my heart is with you. Parental issues are not easy.

I thought my sinuses were going to kill me yesterday, but once the front moved in they eased up. Gah. Between the joints and the sinuses I'm a frakkin' weather station.

ETA: And I meant to say, the twerp in Perkins' office is a thoughtless idiot.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Woot! Polish!

Fie on self-absorbed associates. And on rec letters that need to go out over the break.

I brought the kids over to the neighbor's house to jump on their trampoline, but I need to go make cookie dough soon. But they still need to jump. May need to trade places with DH.
