Saffron: But we've been wed. Aren't we to become one flesh? Mal: Well, no, uh... We're still two fleshes here, and I think that your flesh ought to sleep somewhere else.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

They DO make Batman trains! OMG Teppy r u ok?

Man, I really wish I could have a drink right now. But I can't because soon I will have to drive. There will be packing up of the last of niece's stuff to move it back into her mom's attic, as she prepares for the adventure of her new job. I am selfishly hoping that they won't need my help or my hatchback, because I'm tired, my foot hurts, and I still haven't wrapped presents. Or sent out holiday cards, for that matter. Can I get about six spare hours today?

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Kathy, I like my chili to be tomato-ey, so I would add the extra can, but I think it is a matter of taste. Why not just cook what you have, and then at the four hour mark, give it a taste-test, and see if you want to add the tomatoes or water then?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Kathy, your chili sounds awesome to me - you shouldn't need any extra water, because when you cook in a slow cooker, you don't lose liquid to evaporation the way you would in an open pot. As long as everything is moist/stewy when you put all the ingredients in (and it will be!), you'll be fine!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

And NOW we hear from our VP (currently on vacation in Hawaii!) that we can leave at 3. Too bad I have no good way to get home until 4:30!

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I'm doing my errands today and mailing out the nail polish box. It looks like it goes to Kat next? Is that right, Perkins?

Yep! She shares it with Burrell but it goes to her.

Excellent! Sorry it took me so long to pass it on. It's been sitting by my couch.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Thanks for the chili feedback! I think I will put in an extra can of diced tomatoes to give it more tomato-y goodness without having to cut up crushed ones. When I was cleaning out my cabinets right after surgery, I found I had so many cans of tomatoes and kidney beans that chili was the best way I could think of to get rid of them.

I'm adding ground turkey to my shopping list so I can make a few more batches of chili this weekend and freeze them.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

ita, I have some repeats.

Okay, that makes me feel better. I try really hard for no repeats. I mean, same style, but never same style and pattern, unless it's the utilitarian black seamless.

Possibly I think about this a lot.
