Well, edamame is pretty important.
While we were at the folks` place for Thanksgiving, my mom was super stressing out over wht the grandkids would eat. The older one has bad table issues, particularly exacerbated by her dad`s random discipline enforcement thus resulting in constant dinnertime battles which drives my dad nuts. So mom`s goal for the holiday was all food they would like so there weren`t fights. It`s a bit hard to predict since they`re half-Japanese kids raised in Africa.
Anyway, we get to dinner one day and there`s a giant bowl of edamame. Mom mentions it`s because my niece and nephew like it. My niece pipes up, "No, Grandma, we don`t like edamame,.." long dramatic pause, "we LOVE edamame." Hee.

Very cute.
I don't know where either of the two liberals in OK live.
I do! Because they're my in-laws.
OK, I got home from my work Christmas party at 4:30 and have watched some TV, talked to Mark, faffed around online and eaten a pear. I suppose at some point, I actually need to do some dishes and pack. And take out the trash. Since it's 7pm, and I leave in 12 hours.
I'm having mustard greens with pierogi from a local maker. It's always random what kind she makes and when they're available. These ones are sweet potato with maple and bacon. Le nom.
But now I think I may have edamame with it.
Since I bailed out of work at 1:30, i went to TJ's on the way home, and the line was as long as I've ever seen it. Which isn't that bad: they have 8 registers and they move fast, it's a good setup.
And although I went in for juice and soup, I also bought meat and pecans and eggnog and mixed nuts and and and -- and two bottles of sparkling wine I put in the refrigerator, just in case. When did I become a person who keeps multiple bottles of sparkling wine in the refrigerator?
God, I'm so glad to be on vacation for the next ten days. t flops in exhaustion
Of course, I really ought to go clean my house and wrap presents and walk the dog. Bah, humbug.
Guess who's adorable? DJ is! Y'all are jealous.

Well, of course.
I got nothing done today.
Okay, I got a lot of work done, but none of my personal stuff that I hoped to goof off from work to do. Now I need to launder and pack and take out trash and figure out the cat and I don't even know what.

Because you're turning into me? And I'm turning into Auntie Mame?
Guess who's adorable? DJ is! Y'all are jealous.
It's true!
Aside from not buying actual food, my trip to TJ's was great -- not crowded, and I saw my friend who works there, and got to go into a staff area! So that was exciting for me....
