"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

We are still in the hospital, waiting to be cut free.

Grace's IV/infusion pump is alarming. I like that it alarms quietly for a minute or two, then gets angrier and louder and then louder still a few minutes after.

Cannot believe the sheer amount of rain!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I hope you get discharged soon, Kat.

I am enjoying a bit of quiet before I truly get started on my day.

Presents are pretty much done but I left myself a last-minute list that's a bit goofy, including "shopping for Xmas and Xmas eve dinners" and "put up tree." Oops. Still, I realize how lucky I am not to have to worry about taking time off work right now.

Oh! Enjoy your maternity leave, Jessica!

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

So that meeting I mentioned up there? No one showed up except for one of the IT guys, me and boss's boss. Boss's boss has suddenly decided that I run all of online and have to call a meeting to discuss a project that has nothing to do with me other than I'm the sap that got roped into running the meeting where we schedule things.

This is like having the doctor's secretary who schedules your appointment in the theater for the surgery.

Other things. Yay, Grace, and hope you guys can go home soon, Kat.

Exciting times, Jess.

msbelle, do you have an ETA.

I know I'm missing stuff.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

8 Holiday Specials That Ruined Christmas in the 80s

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have never seen any of those Christmas specials. I am very happy.

I hope you get discharged soon, Kat.

I really wanted to not be on this 90 minute meeting, but the developer was trying to push his stuff off on the IT Manager, and I had to step in and take the load. I have five minutes of talking to do, and no listening. Except to work out when they're talking to me. Booooring.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

so today is my last day before maternity leave!

Wow! You're really in the home stretch! Good luck w/everything.

Doctor's appt went well -- I liked her, the place is super close to home, and they had my pediatric records in the system! Which is kind of funny, because she was like, "Your grandmother has glaucoma?" I said yeah, but how do you know that??
