Being the coincierge in the waiting room must be the worst job in the world.
Do you have old volunteers? I'm pretty sure my waiting room was staffed entirely with retiree volunteers.
Okay, I've had it with the stench. I'm going home. I'll try this again tomorrow.
Hat hat hat!
That hat is adorable, msbelle.
And I just discovered my performance review isn't one: it's a review of the work plan for the coming year, much less stressful.
And I get off work an hour early tomorrow, yay.
Love that hat!
Do not love my workday. Same issues as yesterday continue. And my developer is out until next tuesday. not that he could figure out what the issue was either. ARGH!
Well, I'm finally registered from my spring semester class. With the weird schedule of it (meets one weekend a month in January, February, and March), I'll have to be sure to keep up on my reading.
When my boss gets back from lunch, I'm going to see if I can go home at 2:30. I'm too tired, PMSing all over the place, and just want to sleep.
I'm WFH and no one is responding to e-mails. Not like it would be a difference in the office since the folks I need are in Oakland, CA, Salt Lake City, UT, and Santa Ana, CA. People!
Also - anyone know where I hid my pink beads from myself. I just went through my stash and I can't find them. It is driving me nuts.
I was only 10-15 minutes "late," but still
My hysterectomy went much much longer than they thought it would. When I woke up in recovery, I had at least three different people come to tell me that my husband had to go home and walk the dogs and he would be right back. Then someone brought me a note that said the same thing. Poor guy literally told EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE HE SAW because he was so worried and made them all promise to tell me. Adorbs. Really, at that point all I was thinking was "ow."
I think I've told this story before, but my mom and my sis waited until my 6-hour jaw surgery was over. They talked to me in the recovery room and then left. But then I woke up later with no memory of seeing them, so I was mad that they left before I woke up from surgery.
I have never had anyone come to my bedside right after surgery! Not even when I was a teenager living at home.
I'm not entirely sure what they were doing instead. Waking up after the foreign body removal from my foot was horrible and stressful and the nurses hated me because I kept paging them. No family showed up until the next morning.
Out of surgery. Now she us being admitted overnight.
Tommy - that reminds me of when I had Kelly. KCD, my mom, and my FIL were all at the hospital for the birth. After they oooohed and ahhhhed over the baby, they left to go to Denny's. I was awake for all of that, but I felt quite abandoned. Kel is 3 months away from 21 and I'm still tweaked.
