Sometimes when I'm sitting in class... You know, I'm not thinking about class, 'cause that would never happen. I think about kissing you. And it's like everything stops. It's like, it's like freeze frame. Willow kissage.

The status is NOT quo.

I haven't been skiing in ages, but I would love to take some lessons and get back into it. And my winter sport at school was cross-country skiing so I wouldn't mind that either.

MEGAN! I know you want to do the Madonna Inn, but if I may make a counter-proposal? Our friend C. has a season pass at a mountain about 90 minutes from us, and we've been thinking about renting a little cabin for a weekend for us all to go play sometime in the next couple of months. I'm just re-learning (last year was the first time I'd been in forever) and ND has never been, so it could be a blast!

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

Looks like we're losing the snow tonight - there's a big rainstorm headed our way. We've had rainstorms on Monday every week this month. What's going on?

Oh, and apparently I'm having a performance review three days before Christmas. Because nothing says happy holidays like a closed-door meeting with the division chief!

that's terrible timing. Good luck!

I'm on the bus on my way to the train to the airport to Europe!!

Of course, looking on flight tracker I see my flight is delayed 3 hours and I will miss my connection. Not that the airline has bothered to tell me this yet...

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

First day back to work. I'm soooo sleepy right now! But, I've gone through and deleted about 1300 emails, did the entire weekend worth of documents that pile up every Monday morning, only to find out that they consolidated email Lotus Notes servers while I was gone, and I can't notify any of my editors with the new documents (someone is supposed to come over and fix it today, I hope), and my boss is off today, so my usual person to request going home early is out. Her boss is here, though, so I might just ask him instead, and maybe get out of here at 4:00 instead of 6:00.

Art Crawl!!!

Argh. Mini-disaster involving an overturned full glass of cider. Luckily the glass didn't break. I think I got it all. I hope I did.

Suela - I think you need a do-over for a couple of weeks.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Sheesh, Suela, you need a break!

I really need the eyes to See All The Things today. I am in cleaning/decorating mode, but there are lots of invisible things. Like all the stuff piled up on the laundry machines. I can't see it, because to me it's in the laundry closet. Only the doors fell off of the laundry closet last summer, and it is open directly to the dining room where most of the guests will inevitably hang out.

We're doing pretty good, though, and the SO actually rescheduled his Tuesday lessons, so we'll have time tomorrow, too. That was a big relief, because I was planning on having to do all the day-of stuff myself. But if we can get mostly cleaned today, we can deal with food and stuff before the show, and it should be all fine.

That would be nice, except they finally did post the job announcement, and I wrote about 10,000 words of fiction in the last week, and I would hate to miss out on either of those.

Still, new sinuses would be great. And nobody call me: I sound like a frog.
