It's it crazy to keep some ice cube trays for if my ice maker breaks? I am planning a drop-off at Goodwill today.
I don't think it is insane to keep a couple. Plus you can use them to freeze things other than water. There is the classic homemade popscicles with toothpicks, as well as broth or stock to be kept in ziplock containers for later use for deglazing a pan, or whenever you need just a small amount.
No word on the supply issue, but I received the following response from J&J/Macneil regarding discontinuing the OB line:
