I've had a disappearing reappearing cold for most of the week, and slept for ridiculously long time last night. After application of DayQuil, I managed to do laundry, pay bills, sort a ton of paperwork, do more Christmas shopping, and cook healthy meals.

I'll probably be editing stories for people most of tomorrow. Still need to clean the bathroom.

Got a new phone. It's pretty shiny: [link]

Ooh, Shrift, that's pretty. I'm beginning to look at smartphones: do you like it?

I'm beginning to look at smartphones: do you like it?

I've only had it since Friday so I'm still noodling around with it, but so far it's fast, has loads of space, powers on quickly, the screen's big, and the battery life is much better than I'm used to. It's sleek, and I like the front and back camera.

I think it's pretty user-friendly, but I've had Android smartphones for several years now.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

sara I am sorry your folks can't be there but I am really glad your mom is taking care of herself. That is really the most important thing.

I watched lighted up boats go down and up the river tonight! They were so decorated and cute. Friends with places right on the water are good to have. Especially when they have delicious food and drinks and new kittens to play with too.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

So sorry to hear that about your mother and your Christmas, sara. I hope she recovers quickly.

Just watched all the TV in the world with bon, and introduced her to Jamaican style (mostly) egg nog, sorrel, and found some Christmas cake, which was delicious. I think it went well.

Now I just have to decide if I nap to kill time before the ER, or keep consuming the internet.
